The Kontane Logistics team designs and manufactures heavy-duty crates and skids for products of all sizes, ensuring safe shipping with appropriately engineered solutions. Our advanced woodworking equipment, including computerized panel saws and CNC routers, allows us to meet tight tolerances and improve efficiency while controlling costs.

On-Site Packaging
Kontane Logistics’ on-site team will pack and ship your heavy or oversized equipment directly from your plant. We offer rigging, rust prevention, crating, and shipping, using protective packaging such as VCI, mil-spec foil, vacuum sealing, desiccants, cushioning, and inserts to ensure safe delivery.
CKD/SKD Packaging
Kontane provides export packaging solutions for the truck and automotive industry, offering both CKD and SKD options. We design, build, pack, and ship custom crates and skids—using CNC-routed wood or foam inserts—to ensure secure, precise shipping of parts worldwide.
Our team can also disassemble vehicles for SKD shipments, carefully packing and sending them to overseas assembly locations.
Delivery
We deliver crates either knocked down (KD) to lower shipping costs and optimize space, or built-up (BU) for faster packing and convenience. All necessary hardware and illustrated assembly instructions are provided. Delivery is handled by our fleet or through our broker network.
Our vendor managed inventory (VMI) programs help maintain optimal stock levels, invoicing you only for crates used from inventory.
Additionally, you can ship products to our distribution centers for turnkey packaging—Kontane will handle crating, storage, and global shipping.
